ESTHER SHORT — The third annual Clark County Senior Heroes Award Luncheon recognized six individuals and two organizations who work with seniors around Clark County. The event grew both in the location where it’s held and in the number of awards handed out, as three new categories were added: Senior Champion, Health Care Professional and Community Hero. There was also a new senior heroes grant, which awarded $3,000 to an individual or organization who submitted a one-minute video on a program or service that helps seniors. At the luncheon, the audience watched the three finalists’ videos and voted for the winner, which was CDM Caregiving Services’ Living with Dignity program.…

Olin (OLN) Announces the Pricing of Senior Notes Due 2029 – Yahoo Finance

Olin Corporation OLN has priced the offering of $750 million total principal amount of senior notes due 2029, which will mature on Aug 1, 2029. The notes will bear an interest rate of 5.625% and will be issued at 100% of par value. The offering is expected to close on Jul 16, 2019, which is subject to customary closing conditions. Per the company, interest will be paid on a semi-annual basis on the first days of February and August, starting Feb 1, 2020. Olin is expected to employ the net proceeds from the offering for prepaying all of the outstanding term loans under its senior term loan credit facility along with all of the outstanding loans under its receivables financing credit facility.…

Assisted living occupancy falls to all-time low in second quarter, NIC says – News – McKnight’s Senior Living

NIC Chief Economist Beth Burnham Mace Assisted living occupancy in the second quarter fell to 85.1%, the lowest point since the National Investment Center for Seniors Housing & Care began collecting data in 2006, the organization said Thursday. The rate was a 20 basis point drop from the first quarter and as with other national fundamentals data released by NIC on Thursday represents 31 metropolitan markets. Construction starts appear to be slowing, however, NIC Chief Economist Beth Burnham Mace told McKnight’s Senior Living. “This data does get re-stated, but despite the re-statements that can occur, we are still seeing a significant downward trend in assisted living starts data,” she said.…
